The technical features of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Nintendo-switch-2/">Nintendo Switch 2 remain unconfirmed. According to a report from SuperMetalDave64, there is currently no evidence confirming that Nintendo is using DLSS for the game's upscaling or image quality.
Some speculation points to AMD's FSR 1.0 for upscaling and SMAA for anti-aliasing. However, another interpretation suggests that the game may use ModuleSystem as its engine, a technology that incorporates both techniques by default. This would not necessarily prove that the game specifically uses them in this title.
Felipe “Necro” also questioned whether FSR 1.0 or SMAA can be conclusively identified from the game's license listing. Nintendo has not officially revealed which upscaling and anti-aliasing technologies are used in the remake.
The game is scheduled to launch on November 5, 2026, during The Legend of Zelda's 40th anniversary celebrations. A themed Nintendo Switch 2 console and a matching Pro Controller are scheduled for October 29, while two new amiibo are planned for 2027. Amazon Spain has listed the game's pre-order at €59.90, representing a 14% discount.
