Pikmin 4 has received its version 2.0.0 update, adding support for the Nintendo-switch-2/">Nintendo Switch 2 Edition ahead of its release next week. Players who buy the upgrade pack will be able to play the new edition starting November 12, 2026.
On Nintendo Switch 2, the update adds an “About the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition” option to the game’s title screen. Selecting it opens the upgrade pack page on Nintendo eShop. Nintendo also says the update fixes other issues to improve gameplay on both Switch 2 and the original Nintendo Switch.
The Switch 2 Edition requires an internet connection to take exams and download distributed stages for Dandori Academy. Nintendo has also released version 2.0.0 for the Pikmin 4 demo, alongside a separate demo for Pikmin 4 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy.
