To mark Pikmin Day, Nintendo has hosted a special Treehouse broadcast dedicated to Pikmin 4 - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy. The event, which aired on YouTube later today, offers fans a detailed preview of the upcoming version of the game ahead of its official launch scheduled for November 12, 2026. Following the live stream, the broadcast has been made available on demand via Nintendo's official YouTube channel.
The special presentation was timed to coincide with the global Pikmin Day celebrations and provided viewers with a comprehensive look at what to expect from the Switch 2 iteration of the title. The stream aired across multiple time zones, starting at 9am PT in North America, followed by slots for UK, European, and Asian audiences throughout the day.
In addition to the broadcast, Nintendo is releasing a free demo for the Pikmin 4 Switch 2 Edition. This downloadable content grants players access to the game's opening area as well as two stages from Dandori Academy. A key feature of this demo is the ability to transfer save data directly into the full version of the game upon purchase.
