Nintendo Life has revealed its eShop Selects ranking for October 2026, highlighting digital-only games released for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 that were not available in physical form at the time of writing. Six eligible titles scored at least 7/10 in the outlet’s reviews, while additional reviews were still pending.

The Séance of Blake Manor claimed the top spot. Spooky Doorway’s supernatural mystery originally launched on PC in 2025 before arriving on consoles one year later. Nintendo Life awarded it 9/10, praising its large cast, vivid writing and voice performances, which the review compared to an interactive supernatural Agatha Christie novel.

Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition finished second. Although a Game-Key Card version is planned for next year, the title currently qualifies as a digital-only release for the ranking. Nintendo Life described the remake as a benchmark for modern remakes, highlighting its revised combat, expanded locations and substantial amount of content.

Mouthwashing took third place. Wrong Organ’s psychological horror game reached consoles several years after its PC debut, offering a disturbing setting aboard the Tulpar. Nintendo Life’s review praised its atmosphere and the way its horror uses the game’s environment and tools to draw players deeper into the nightmare.

The honourable mentions were Order of the Sinking Star, which received 8/10, Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition with a 9/10 score, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, which earned 7/10. Nintendo Life described the selected games as releases without physical editions, including Game-Key Cards or codes-in-boxes, at the time of its October assessment.

The final ranking was determined through votes from Nintendo Life staff and contributors. Each voter selected three games, assigning three points to their first choice, two to their second and one to their third. The points were then added to establish the month’s top three.
