Petit Planet, the upcoming life simulation game from miHoYo, has been officially announced for Nintendo-switch-2/">Nintendo Switch 2. The title is scheduled to launch on Nintendo’s new console in 2027.
The announcement follows renewed speculation about a potential Switch 2 version after Petit Planet was recently classified for the platform by the ESRB, following another listing in June.
Petit Planet is described as a free-to-play, cozy life simulation game focused on caring for a personal planet and gradually building a galaxy by connecting with other worlds. Players will take on the role of Planetary Guardians, cultivating a special seed that will transform their planet’s landscape and ecosystem.
The game will also allow players to meet new neighbors, form friendships and discover their stories. Other activities include exploring small islands scattered throughout space and visiting a Galactic Bazaar, where players can take part in minigames, auctions and share their own creations.
There is still no new information about a Nintendo Switch version of Genshin Impact. The game’s future on Nintendo’s original console had already appeared uncertain in 2023, and another report in 2026 did not provide further details.
