HoYoverse announced during its latest "pre-launch special program" broadcast that Petit Planet will come to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027. The company, known for Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero, is bringing the cosy free-to-play galactic life sim to Nintendo's platform after the game launches on other platforms on 4th December 2026.

In Petit Planet, players can make a little planet their own, live alongside fuzzy Neighbors, farm, fish, cook, and explore the Starsea beyond their world. HoYoverse's official description says players can shape the land and skies, befriend Neighbors, explore new worlds, and visit a bustling bazaar where galactic travelers gather. The game is described as a free download available on multiple platforms, with players able to create, discover, build friendships and watch their planet begin to teem with life.

The Switch 2 version was shown in motion during the broadcast. HoYoverse said it was excited to announce the Nintendo version and looked forward to welcoming players to the Starsea.
