The Pokémon Company has started a countdown across its social media channels, although it has not revealed what the timer is leading up to. The campaign uses images featuring the franchise’s 30th anniversary icons, each accompanied by a number that decreases over time.

According to observations shared by Serebii’s Joe Merrick, the number fell from 1,025 on October 18 to 843 on October 26, and then to 676 in the latest post. The figures appear to correspond to the number of hours remaining between each update.

If the pattern continues, the countdown should reach zero on November 30 at 2:00 p.m. UTC. The most recent image also included a message beneath the logo that roughly translates as “Continue with Pokémon.”

The company has not confirmed what will happen when the countdown ends. Possible speculation includes the previously rumored arrival of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire on Nintendo Switch Online, new information about Winds and Waves, potentially including a release date, or another Pokémon Presents presentation.

For now, the countdown remains unexplained, with further details expected as the November 30 target approaches.
