Stellar Blade: Complete Edition has received an 81/100 score on Metacritic based on seven published reviews, ahead of its November 5, 2026, release on Nintendo Switch 2. The review roundup, published by Nintendo Life, highlights the game’s combat and the quality of its conversion while also pointing to some technical and visual trade-offs.

Nintendo Life awarded the game 7/10, praising its action, rewarding exploration and challenging but fair combat. Its review also noted visual issues and a story it found lacklustre. Nintendo Everything gave it 4/5, calling it one of the generation’s best action-adventure games and commending its combat system. It said the Switch 2 version has graphical cuts and issues when frame generation is enabled, but remains an excellent experience, particularly in handheld mode.

Other outlets focused on the port’s performance. GoNintendo praised developer Shift Up’s technical work, saying the release shows what developers can achieve when they understand Switch 2 hardware. COGconnected scored it 80/100 and reported stable performance in both docked and handheld play, while noting less detailed distant animations and less precise responsiveness than in other versions. Polygon said the graphical flaws have little effect on the intense combat.

The Outerhaven awarded the game 4.5/5, praising the port’s optimization and additional content, including the NieR: Automata and Goddess of Victory: Nikke DLC, quality-of-life improvements and Bayonetta outfits.
