Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered is now available on Nintendo-switch-2/">Nintendo Switch 2. Atari, Pipeworks and Toho marked the launch with a new trailer for the updated version of the 2002 arena fighter.
The game features 12 playable kaiju, each with a distinct moveset that includes close-range attacks, energy blasts and special Rage Mode strikes. Battles take place across eight locations, including recreated real-world cities, Monster Island and the alien Mothership. Arenas can also be used strategically, with buildings and other landmarks available as weapons.
The remaster updates the original’s visuals and adds gameplay improvements, local co-op and online multiplayer. Its revised unlock system lets players unlock monsters, locations and gallery items in any order. The release also includes a single-player campaign for each kaiju.
