Hamster has announced that Elevator Action is the next game in its Console Archives series. The title is scheduled to launch digitally on Nintendo-switch-2/">Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5, 2026, for $7.99.

Originally released by TAITO in 1985 for an 8-bit home console, Elevator Action casts players as a spy tasked with collecting confidential documents in a building and escaping by car. Players use elevators to avoid security guards, and can fight them with a pistol or a jump kick.

The release includes Japanese and English versions. The game’s text is in English in both, as it was originally designed with English text.

Console Archives brings classic home-console games to modern platforms with features such as customizable controls, rapid-fire settings, multiple save points and, for some titles, a rewind function. Players can also adjust the screen layout and apply filters that evoke CRT displays.
