Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 19, 2026, Auroch Digital and Big Fan Games have confirmed. The game will follow its initial launch on October 14.
The sequel continues the retro-inspired first-person shooter series that previously appeared on the original Nintendo Switch. It features a branching single-player campaign set across new locations and allows players to choose between two playable characters: Ultramarine Malum Caedo and Sister of Battle Nyra Veyrath.
Each character has distinct abilities, weapons, and play styles. Malum Caedo focuses on the forceful combat of a Sternguard Veteran, while Nyra Veyrath brings a faster and more agile approach to the battlefield.
The campaign will take players through environments including a hive city and jungle mangrove swamps. Combat builds on the series’ fast-paced gunplay, with weapons such as a chainsword and shotgun, while new enemies include Bloodletters and daemonic Juggernauts.
The game’s branching structure offers different routes with unique levels. It also introduces new enemies, weapons, worlds, and biomes, alongside a navigation guide designed to keep players oriented during combat.
The released trailer offers the first footage of Vashtorr, described as the game’s main antagonist and a daemonic demigod associated with inventors, engineers, scientists, and artisans. It also previews music composed for the game by guest composer Mick Gordon, known for his work on DOOM and Wolfenstein: The New Order.
