Suda51 has teased plans for No More Heroes’ 20th anniversary, saying that fans can expect “something special” from the franchise. The creator made the comments in a recent interview with Famitsu.
The original No More Heroes launched in Japan at the end of 2007, followed by releases in North America and Europe the next year. The series later received a direct sequel on Wii, the Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes spin-off, and a third main entry on Nintendo Switch.
Asked about the anniversary plans, Suda51 said Marvelous is aware of the milestone and that the two sides want to work together on a celebration. He added that the team is planning to deliver something special and stated that Travis Touchdown will “definitely be back.”
Suda51 did not reveal what the project will be, and no further details were provided. The comments follow remarks he made in 2024 indicating that he was unsure whether Travis Touchdown would return, in part because Marvelous owns the rights to the franchise.
