Kemco and Magitec have officially announced Shelterra the Skyworld for the Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. The title is scheduled to launch on November 5, 2026, bringing a classic fantasy RPG experience to both platforms.

Set in a vast floating continent untouched by a mysterious corruption known as Odium, the game follows Claude, an aspiring professional adventurer. What begins as a simple escort mission quickly escalates when Claude discovers that his talking stone is actually an Artifact, a spirit destined to protect Shelterra. To prevent his homeland from crashing to the surface, he joins forces with the Orlok regime to uncover the secrets of the Skyworld and save it from destruction.

Players will explore this open world freely, venture into dangerous dungeons, and engage in strategic turn-based battles. The gameplay loop involves discovering and learning new skills by fighting specific monsters and gathering clues from informants to hunt down necessary abilities for the party. A key mechanic allows players to summon mystical Artifacts to fight alongside them, unleash devastating abilities, or call upon their protection against powerful attacks.

The release on Nintendo Switch 2 will feature improved frame rates, higher resolution, and better text readability compared to the original console. The game will be available digitally at a price of $19.99 for the Nintendo Switch and $20.99 for the Nintendo Switch 2.
