Nintendo’s playable Ocarina of Time ocarina is now available in select regions. It has gone on sale through the Nintendo Store in Japan for 5,500 yen and in Australia for A$54.85. Availability in the US and UK has not yet been announced in the source information.
The accessory was announced alongside electronic and playable ocarinas when Nintendo revealed the Ocarina of Time remake. Unlike HORI’s electronic model, Nintendo’s version works by letting players play or hum one of Link’s learned melodies within range of the Switch 2’s built-in microphone, prompting the song to play in the game.
The ocarina is tuned to Alto C and is made from ABS, polyurethane synthetic leather and polyester. It measures approximately 8.3 x 15 x 4.5 cm and includes a leaflet with sheet music. Stock may vary by location.
