Nintendo has published the first two parts of a new Ask the Developer series focused on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Switch 2. Alongside development details, the interview identifies the team responsible for the remake.
The project was developed internally by Nintendo’s Entertainment Planning & Development (EPD) Production Group No. 3, the group associated with most Zelda releases since the early 2000s. The revelation confirms that Nintendo did not outsource the remake to another studio.
HokWai Ng served as director, marking his first directing role at Nintendo. He previously worked on The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Aya Shida was responsible for art direction, while Hiroki Taguchi worked as program director. Masato Ohashi served as music lead and one of the sound directors.
The wider team also included Eiji Aonuma and Hidemaro Fujibayashi as producers. The series will continue with its third and fourth parts on 3 November, when Nintendo is expected to share further details about the remake’s development.
