Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 is set to receive a standalone physical release on Nintendo-switch/">Nintendo Switch through Limited Run Games. The collection was previously available at retail only as a download code when bundled with Mega Man X Legacy Collection, while the first collection was included on the cartridge.

The upcoming release will be available as a standard edition, a double pack containing both collections, and a Maverick Hunter Edition with additional items. Pre-orders for the Switch physical release are scheduled to open on November 12, 2026.

Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 brings together Mega Man X5, X6, X7 and X8, with X and Zero playable. It also includes X Challenge mode, a museum of series material and an animated prequel film about the origins of Sigma.

The first Mega Man X Legacy Collection contains Mega Man X, X2, X3 and X4, along with X Challenge mode and a museum featuring production art, merchandise catalogs and commercials.
