Hamster has announced Exzisus as the latest game in its Arcade Archives lineup. The Taito shooter will be available digitally for Nintendo-switch/">Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5, 2026. The Switch 2 version costs $9.99, while the Switch version costs $7.99.
Originally released in 1987, Exzisus is a shooting game set in the 4th Galaxy. Players Control Cosmo Fighter Robin and use blasters and missiles to fight a mysterious invading army. Collected items power Robin up, enabling a transformation into Turbo Jet mode or calling in bird and dog robots to assist in combat. The game also tasks players with targeting the weak points of giant robots at the end of each stage.
The Arcade Archives series aims to reproduce classic arcade games faithfully. Its Original Mode includes options such as difficulty and display settings, button remapping, rapid fire, multiple save files and a rewind function. Hi Score Mode and Caravan Mode support online rankings.
Arcade Archives 2 adds Time Attack Mode, where players compete to finish the game as quickly as possible, alongside the modes in the original series. The series also supports variable refresh rate (VRR) to reproduce gameplay more accurately.
