Art of Play and Roditeli Productions have announced Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure: Arcade for Nintendo-switch/">Nintendo Switch. The companies have not shared a release window, saying launch details will come later.
The 16-bit-style side-scrolling action game lets players take control of Bill or Ted, with the option to play cooperatively. Across 15 levels, the duo travels through time to gather historical figures and complete a history report as they try to save the future.
Players will encounter figures including Billy the Kid, Socrates, Napoleon, Beethoven and Genghis Khan. Each can be challenged in a mini-game to win their help. The game also features characters from the original film, hand-crafted pixel art and an 80s rock soundtrack. Completing story mode unlocks arcade mode, mini-games and additional content.
